Microsoft 365 is the cloud productivity solution designed to support individuals and businesses through intelligent cloud services, advanced security, and all the apps in the Office suite.
Since the end of April, Office 365 plans, both the private and business plans, have changed their name and become Microsoft 365.
Why did the name change?
The name has changed to more closely reflect the range of features and benefits of the subscription. Microsoft 365, in fact, includes so many new features beyond everything you know about Office 365, including smart cloud services, enhanced security and superior Office apps.
What happened to the Office 365 plans?
Office 365 Business plans are now Microsoft 365 Business plans. New name, same great value, same price.
Here are the plans that changed their names:
– Office 365 Business Essentials is now Microsoft 365 Business Basic
– Office 365 Business Premium is now Microsoft 365 Business Standard
– Microsoft 365 Business is now Microsoft 365 Business Premium
– Office 365 Business is now App Microsoft 365 for businesses
Are there any changes to the price or product?
There are no changes to the price or product. The same plans are available, but with updated names.
I have an Office 365 plan do I need to do anything?
You won’t have to do anything. Your Office 365 subscription will automatically switch to Microsoft 365. You will see the updated name of your subscription in your admin portal and monthly billing statements.
