In just a few days, the deadline for joining the Microsoft 365 data transfer program in Swiss data centers is set. Customers and partners who wish to benefit from local data residing in Switzerland in the near future must therefore join the migration program by June 30, 2020.
Data from Swiss companies that used Microsoft 365 services (such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business or Teams) prior to the launch of Microsoft Data Centers in our country in December 2019 was most likely stored in European Data Centers.
Only customers who have signed up and will explicitly adhere to the M365 transfer program by the June 30 deadline will be assured of a migration of their data to Microsoft Data Centers on Swiss soil.
Activation must be performed by the customer or a CSP partner in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Further information is available at aka.ms/move.
