Recent developments concerning the spread of the coronavirus have brought the issue of Smart Working, or remote working, back into the center of debate. The emergency has prompted several companies, including in Ticino, to resort to this option to limit the movements of their employees and avoid the aggregation of too many people within the workplace.
A solution, that of agile work, which allows companies to manage the emergency situation that has been created, without suffering too much in terms of productivity and efficiency.
However, the topic of Smart Working should become central to the economic debate, and not just be considered in these health emergency cases.

Smart Working means that employees and collaborators can access the company’s systems and data from outside the network, and possibly even with their own devices.
All of this, of course, greatly increases the risks of third-party attacks on the one hand, and the chances of employee error or loss or theft of a device on the other, putting company data at risk.
The company that does Smart Working is therefore more vulnerable at an IT level. For this reason, it is necessary that the management of remote work is not improvised, but includes the implementation of all necessary precautions in terms of cyber security.
